The first Mass at St. Theresa's Chapel in Dryden, Ontario, was celebrated by Father Boulet on October 03, 1999, the feastday of St. Theresa of the Child Jesus. This first Mass was attended by approximately 50 people, including faithful from Kenora and Winnipeg.

Father Boulet saying the first Mass in Dryden

The chapel, a peak quonset building, was donated by Mr. Arthur Bobay of Dryden. It was relocated to the countryside south of Dryden, and rebuilt by the Dryden congregation. The chapel can seat up to 70 people. The red-carpeted sanctuary is adorned with a white altar with gold trim, and a 4-foot statue of St. Theresa beautifully repainted by Mr. Roger Zielke of Winnipeg.

Following the 10:00A.M. High Mass, everyone enjoyed a buffet dinner at the home of Michael and Rita Bobay.

A special "Thank you" to all the people of Dryden, Kenora, and Winnipeg who through their efforts, donations, and prayers assisted the Dryden faithful in this undertaking. Thank you to Father Emily and Father Boulet for their encouragement and support. Deo Gratias!"
