Fr. Dominic May's First Mass and Goodbye to Fr. Boulet - August 6, 2006
Fr.
Boulet and Fr. May during the singing of the Gloria
Mixed feelings accompanied the Solemn High Mass on Sunday, August 6. The
whole parish was grateful for the visit from newly ordained Canadian pirest
Fr. Dominic May from Rocky Mountain House, Alberta. There were the many
graces attached to his First Mass in this city as well as his First Blessings
of each of the parishioners. On the other hand, the parish had to say
goodbye to their long-time pastor, Fr. Dominique Boulet. We have know
him here for over 15 years, although he was away for some of that time
in Winnipeg. He was present when the Langley church was purchased and
worked hard for many years to obtain the recent rectory next door. The
other parishes in B.C. including Vernon, Nanaimo, Kamloops and Oliver
as well as numerous missions will miss him too. God bless you at your
new post at the retreat house of Shawinigan Father!
