1-Gathering
in Dryden…
From
July 22-27 was held a family Camp in Dryden. Faithful from
Manitoba and Saskatchewan joined their Dryden friends for
six days of fun, but also of learning, and prayer.
The Dryden people organized everything very well, and Father
Rusak was there as Chaplain, and gave six Catechism Classes
everyday! Boys and girls took part in crafts, canoeing, volleyball,
etc.

2-Rev.
Father Sulzen, from Toronto, sent us some news about his camps…
Father
Sulzen organized, this year again, two camps called “Canadian
Martyrs Camps”. The one for the boys took place from July
9-15, and the girls had theirs from July 15-22. Both camps
were held at Camp Attawandaron, west of London. Six Seminarians,
some Sisters and lay folks assisted Father. The attendance
was as follow: Boys: 31; Girls: 24

Quebec:
From
Miss Marie-Anne Roy, Reporter, and Mr. Patrick Roy, Photographer.
A lot
happened recently at Holy Family School and Parish in Lévis…
Let’s evoke these events in a chronological order:
|
On
June 17th, Joseph-André Roy received his
Law Degree from Laval University.
He is here with his parents, Mr. And Mrs. Patrick Roy.
Congratulations! |
|
We
had a Corpus Christi procession, June 18th,
at the Precious Blood Residences, Lévis. |
|
On
June 21st, Mr. Jean-Claude Dupuis, long-time
teacher at our school, defended successfully his History
Thesis at Laval University. The subject was not a popular
one nowadays: “Catholic Liberalism in 19th Century Canada”.
Mr. Dupuis thus earned his Doctorate of History. He
is seen here among former students.Congratulations Doctor
Dupuis for your PhD! |
|
There
was a delicious Pig Roast at Holy Family School, June
24th.
L. to R.: Fr. De l’Estourbeillon, MM. J. Goyette, B.
and A. Lapointe, organizers. |
|
Three
weeks later, on July 16th , Fr. Mark Stafki,
newly ordained SSPX priest,
gave his “First Blessings” at the school, where he helped
(and even learned French) last year. |
|
We
also did our yearly pilgrimage to St-Anne-de-Beaupré
Shrine,
from Québec City, which is 35 km away. It is done in
one day. |
As you can see, things moved around quite a bit in the Belle
Province. And some of us even went to France! Indeed, two
families from Lévis went to a ceremony of Religious Profession
of Dominican Sisters held August 4th in Fanjeaux,
France. They met with some of their children who have embraced
the consecrated life.

Finally, let us mention there has been a series of weddings
in Quebec, and even one in France (Mr. François Blanchet).
So many that we have lost count! Tradition will get bigger
soon!
