Intention for the month of January

St. Ansgar

St. Ansgar was sent by Pope Gregory IV to preach to the Scandinavian countries. In 848, he was made the first Archbishop of Bremen, Germany.  Ansgar's success was due to his great preaching ability, the austerity and holiness of his life, and the miracles he performed. He is called "the Apostle of the North".

Daily offering

(To be recited every morning when you wake up)

O Jesus, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I offer Thee all my prayers, works, joys and sufferings of this day, for all the intentions of Thy Sacred Heart in union with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass throughout the world, and in reparation for my sins. I offer them particularly true renewal of the missionary spirit.
