Some Powerful weapons!Dear Crusaders, Once again, I would like to encourage you to be faithful to your commitments in the Eucharistic Crusade. At times, you may wonder why you joined the Eucharistic Crusade as you already go to Mass, and receive Holy Communion with your family; but remember to be always very thankful to belong to a true Catholic family. In Canada, many young boys or young girls don’t know anything about the Catholic Church, or even about religion! Like the crusaders of the old times, you have to fight. This battle it is not a bloody battle, but rather a spiritual battle, against the devil. The Crusaders were wearing a large red cross over their clothes, to remind them that it was for Christ that they had to be ready to shed their blood. By their sacrifices and the shedding of their blood, they were able to free the Holy Land from the enemies of the Cross of Jesus. The badge of the Eucharistic Crusade doesn’t have a red cross, but it shows a chalice with a host, surrounded by the words “Ecce Panis Angelorum” – This is the Bread of the Angels – along with the two letters EC, for Eucharistic Crusade. This badge reminds you that you are fighting for Jesus really present in the Blessed Sacrament. The good angels will help you in this good fight to keep your soul pure, and to receive Jesus well in the Holy Eucharist. The Rosary is a powerful weapon to help you to keep the good fight against the devil. In this month of October, Month of the Holy Rosary, the spiritual bouquet to the pope, gives you more reasons to pray well your Rosary. Don’t forget to ask your parents to add your Rosaries to the spiritual bouquets for Pope Benedict XVI. In the Hearts of Jesus and Mary,
