Interview with Levis’deputy

Today, our boys from Secondary 3-4 and 5 had the chance to go on a cultural outing to Old Québec, accompanied by their history teacher and a priest. The great event was of course the visit to Parliament with the chance to assist during a parliamentary session, which one doesn’t do every day. The students were able to ask questions of and to discuss afterwards with the deputy from Lévis in person. That was a busy morning; which necessitated a good meal taken on the famous historical site of The Plains of Abraham. It’s pretty well certain that this activity was cheerfully partaken of in general... After the meal, the whole troop landed on the Citadelle where so many historical treasures of our land are preserved. This was enough to give the urge to be courageous, and even more proud of our country. The museum was thoroughly presented to all, thanks to the explanations of our guide, and the visit to the Citadelle chapel was also a special moment. This chapel, installed in an old powder magazine, is rarely open to the general public, but our students aren’t just anybody! After leaving this historical terrain, our students benefitted from a guided tour of the cathedral of Québec. There you have a day to culturally enrich one’s mind, a good way to make History lively and captivating. The return trip was made in good spirits. And if you would have had the chance to hear the comments made by the boys in the bus on the way home, you would know what they had “preferred” on this daytrip... Do you want to know? Well, of course, they had really appreciated the splendid black Lamborghini they had seen on leaving Parliament...!
