AT OUR LADY OF MOUNT CARMEL, NEW HAMBURG
- Science Fair: Sunday March 10:
A potluck will follow the 10:00 a.m. High Mass, after which the students will demonstrate a large variety of science experiments to all those present, and prizes will be awarded.
- St. Patrick`s dinner and auction: Saturday March 16:
This annual parish event and fundraiser consists in an Irish dinner, along with all kinds of entertainment from students and parishioners, and live and silent auctions of items donated for the purpose and available at very reasonable prices, and also very many gift prizes. Tickets are $10 per person or $30 per family and can be purchased at the door, or ahead of time. Mass will be celebrated at 5:15 p.m., followed by the dinner, which starts at 6:00 p.m.
- Girls` High School play: Sunday April 28:
The Mousetrap, a well known Agatha Cristi mystery story will be presented by the high school girls. A pot luck will follow the 10:00 a.m. High Mass, after which will come the play.
- Athletics` Day: Victoria Day: Monday May 20:
This is a family day for all our parishioners and friends, with a barbecue at 1:00 p.m., followed by a variety of athletics activities and games for the children.
- Art Fair & Boys` High School play: Sunday May 26:
There will be a pot luck after the 10:00 a.m. High Mass, after which the parishioners will have the possibilities of viewing all the students` art projects and asking explanations. Then will follow the presentation of William Shakespeare`s play A Comedy of Errors, presented in its entirety.
- Corpus Christi procession: Sunday June 2:
Our Lady of Mount Carmel Academy will be assisting at the High Mass at Holy Face church in St. Catharines at 10:30 a.m., followed by the public procession of the Blessed Sacrament through the surrounding neighborhood.
- Graduation and awards` ceremony: Friday June 14:
The ceremony will begin with the Graduation Mass at 8:00 a.m., to be followed by a pot luck breakfast. Then will take place the commencement ceremonies, including the presentation of the diplomas of graduation, and the various school awards.
- Assumption Festival: Sunday August 18:
The annual solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary starts at 10:00 a.m. with a Procession in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary, followed by High Mass. The pig roast follows, as well as games and activities for the children.
